Special Briefing European Care Strategy - The EU as a driving force for better care for all? This initiative materialises the EU policy initiative on long-term care announced for some time and the commitments of the Action Plan of the European Pillar of Social Rights. Whether it is to secure access to the digital world or to combat ageism, older people around Europe widely celebrated the International Day of Older Persons this year again. This was decided by the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (Riziv) and the Federal Minister for Public Health. This is once again reflected in the figures from the survey published in September 2021 by Amnesty International in French-speaking Belgium.   Read more on Amnesty's survey Growing social exclusion of older people - Two French reports sound the alarm and call for political action On International Day of Older Persons, the French Commissioner on Rights released a report providing an updated overview of old age discrimination.
